Sonora Jha is the author of the novels Foreign (2013) and The Laughter (2023) and the memoir How to Raise a Feminist Son (2021). The Laughter has been hailed by The New York Times as “a no-holds-barred comic achievement,” and earned rave reviews from The New Yorker, Kirkus Reviews, India Today, and The Seattle Times amongst others. After a career in journalism in India and Singapore, Dr. Jha is now a professor of journalism at Seattle University, USA.
