Ciara Mandulee Mendis is a Sri Lankan writer whose work has appeared in several international journals including the Queen’s Quarterly, Southeast Asian Review of English, Riptide Journal, The Bombay Review, Contemporary Literary Review India and Himal Southasian. Her collection of short stories The Lanka Box which was shortlisted for the 2021 Gratiaen Prize received the State Literary Award 2023. Her first collection of short stories The Red Brick Wall (manuscript) was shortlisted for the 2020 Gratiaen Prize. Ciara holds an M.A. in English Studies and is serving in the Sri Lanka Administrative Service.
