Chiranthi Rajapakse

Chiranthi Rajapakse is a Sri Lankan writer, she grew up in Kandy and now lives in Colombo.  Her second collection of short stories, ‘Keeping Time and other stories’ was selected as joint winner of the 2022 (30th) Gratiaen Prize.  Her first book ‘Names and Numbers’ was also shortlisted for the Gratiaen prize in 2017. Her writing has been published by New Ceylon WritingWachana, Samyuktha fiction and Fairlight shorts,  and she is part of the New Ink forum. Chiranthi has degrees in Law and Dentistry and has worked as a journalist, lecturer, feature writer and legal researcher. She now works a research manager with LIRNEasia. chiranthi.medium.com.
