Nisthar Cassim is the Founding Editor and Chief Executive of the Daily FT, Sri Lanka’s first and only national daily business newspaper since 2009. A senior journalist and editor with over 25 years of experience, he has worked in several Sri Lankan newspapers including The Island and the Ceylon Daily News as a business journalist and the Daily Mirror, where he last served as the Editor before launching the Daily FT. He is an Executive Committee member of The Editors Guild of Sri Lanka and a member of the South Asia Editors’ Forum, an initiative promoted by the World Bank
