Judith Perera is an active oral history practitioner and has worked with secondary school and university students on various oral history projects. Her dissertation for her PhD in History culminated in a documentary, 1994: Detention at Crossroads, which premiered at the States of Incarceration travelling exhibit when it opened in Phoenix, Arizona. She has been invited twice to present her curriculum work in Brussels and Strasbourg at the Council of Europe’s joint project, the Transnational History Education and Co-operation Laboratory (HISTOLAB). Judith is currently the Head of History and the Head of Year 13 at the British School in Colombo, and writing an oral history guidebook for the Archive of Memory.
